The size of this duplex in Manhattan isn’t just an optical illusion. The place is really huge! The apartment boasts with 1280m² living area and ceilings up to 7 meters. It belongs to the designer, painter and sculptor Gianluca Berardi, who bought it in 2002 and spent a lot of time, efforts and money to create its present look. The home owner’s works are all over the place, yet it looks clean, simple and neat. Massive exposed beams define the ceiling throughout the whole apartment. The connection between the ground and the upper floor is solved with a beautiful mahogany spiral staircase. An original column, covered in rusty metal and brass, adds a vintage charm to the living room. From there you are able to easily access the large patio, where you can relax and enjoy the sunlight or throw a party for your friends.
