Found in Haarlem, The Netherlands, this cute kindergarten conversion has become a beautiful family home. The building itself dates back to 1894 and has undergone a total transformation but still retains many of the original features that make it special. Large windows have been preserved allowing natural light to flood through the kindergarten conversion. The wooden floors have been painted white as have the walls – the high ceilings make the house airy and cool.
From the living area you can access the garden via French doors, which add to the airy feel of this family home. You can find wooden furniture and features in the house that bring warmth and character, personal items also add color to the rooms. Up in the eaves of the house you will find a cozy bedroom and also a handy home office; both of these rooms have a wonderfully shaped wooden ceiling with beams that cast shadows and add to the attraction.
The kindergarten conversion has been done with taste and this shows as you walk through the house. Many of the pieces of furniture are designer made and they look great in this stylish setting. A modern kitchen is the heart of this house, with wooden fronted units mixed with metallic tones, while a comfortable dining area is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with family and friends.
