Unique apartment in Tel Aviv (1)

Our previous feature may have gotten your attention with its mesmerizing mirror buildings, but today’s spotlighted home will definitely have you scratching your head at how such a design was made possible from the inside out. If you’re not afraid of heights, your ideal abode would be as high up in the clouds as possible, especially if you live in a busy city. How about a panoramic view of your city complete with a view from the ceiling? No, we’re not talking about enormous sky light windows this time. Located in Tel Aviv, Israel is a unique apartment that we’re pretty sure defies some of the more traditional interior design concepts.

At twenty-one stories up in the air resides this apartment, nicknamed the R1T, was designed by Paritzki & Liani Architects. Paritzki and Liani specialize in creating home designs that challenge dimensions and other spatial systems. While describing the direction for this particular project, they stated that they wanted to merge the exterior of the city with the “ornamental integration of the city in the interior”. In an instant, they were able to create great depth to encourage more upward expansion of the entire home. There is also a method to the madness when it comes to the decor, which has a peculiar symmetry to its transitioning shapes.

If you don’t feel like venturing out into the city, you can always look up at the ceiling and enjoy it from afar, right in the comfort of your own home. Imagine that!
