‘Monaci delle Terre Nere’ boutique hotel is a magical place on the island of Sicily. It looks more like a huge ancient villa rather than a contemporary guest house. Once it was even inhabited by monks.

The region, where the property is located, is famous for its wineries, which gives the hotel one more advantage. The stunning villa was bought by Guido Alessandro a few years ago. His intentions were to transform it into a family home, but in time he understood that the property was way too big and had a different potential.

As more and more friends of Alessandro started visiting his new villa, it gave him the idea of actually turning the place into a vacation spot for foreign visitors. With the help of a professional architect he created the amazing Monaci delle Terre Nere.

The interior features natural construction materials in combination with modern furniture items. Most rooms are complemented by paintings by the British-Brazilian artist, Olivier Mourao.
